Well put. That's exactly how I feel. Can't even try avodart so I have to cope with finasteride that's doing nothing. It's nice to have the roots though so it looks like I have hair when I buzz.

Hey, dont give up just yet, you have only started treatments in february right? Its gonna take quite a while for any noticeable difference becuase hair grows slowly.

My hair is super thin as well, any cool haircut would look ridiculous. So, basically I feel no worse than a Norwood 7 might feel. the advantage of a diffuse thinner like us is that our loss is easier to treat and maybe to regrow, but a thick receder can have a decent hairstyle until he is a Norwood 3. We are doomed as soon as it starts...... :cry:

all my family say i am not going bald but if i had been a receder,i would be norwood 3 with the hair lost,if you get what i mean.

o.k people don't say to me taht i am bald but i feel bald because the once thick mane just does not look good therefore the worst has been done
i used to get a flat top but that is not possible now,just feel as though the old me is dead and the new inferior me is an imposter

i am a all or nothin kind of guy so if i now lose all my teeth which are perfect,it would not make much diffrenc as the look i had has gone when i started to thin,to be honest i almost feel like getting a stanley knife and ruining my face

Guys, see the post on Propecia causes rise in libido....if you have other sides such as acnce then could be suffering Hyperandrogenicity.

Propecia's done nothing for me but appear to accelerate things so maybe this Hyperandrogenicity is the reason.....maybe a few of us are suffereing this. Gotta be some reason why its not working.

No slowdown in 6months or more is crap..cannot see its gonna change in the next few months or it would have by now.

Over to dutasteride maybe then give up and just shave it..

We put our faith in this stuff working and I thought worst case would be a slowdown and didn't even get that...just made it worse..

Last year I looked 5yrs younger than my age, now thanks to crap hair..gonna look 5ys older...this sucks.

Sry, to hear about your hair, Nick. For me I can say that finasteride definetly worked, meaning that it slowed down my loss but didn´t stop it. So I switched to dutasteride a few days ago. I am scared like hell of the shedding, but what can I do??

and i got that! even behind my temples the hair is awful thin so it looks even worse.

so please dont cry about even diffuse thinning.

i have to wear my hair with the right style and i cant buzz. or it looks ridiculous.

though i dont hide it completley. i show it in the front.

still i think its ok because i didnt "create a new hairstyle" and it looks fine like this.

gona hope that it will become thick again the next year with my new regimen. :-x

Hair is not everything, you must have a personality, desires besides hair,
you can work on your body, your mind, make them strong! Turn this hairloss thing around & become a better stronger person for it.
It's all in the head man, only you can control your thoughts.

Do you have a girlfriend? Aside from the hairloss do you consider yourself attractive? Are you in shape? There is so much more to life.

I agree hairloss sucks but dont even start with lifes not fair because you lost your hair & your friend didn't.
There are some people who can show you what not fair really is!

Kids growing up in poverty, born with aids, they didn't do anything to bring this upon themselves!
