Oh yeah that looks GREAT. Love that stuff.

I know you're a Spaniard, and might have some other name for that dish, but to an American that looks like a great rojo/verde take on Huevos Rancheros. A classic.

I'd LOVE to take that rolled up flour tortilla at the back of the dish, use it to break the yoke of the eggs, and then swish the yolk around with the salsa and then take a bite. Hell yes.

Looks like there's a small bit of a chilaquiles-like garnish at the top of the dish too.. another classic.

That's the kind of food that will keep you going all day. When I go for a day of skiing or some other day long activity of exercise, I'd kill for a meal like that in the morning.

Their called Huevos Divorciados (divorced eggs).
Green salsa on one and red on the other divided in the middle by Chilaquiles.

Its good stuff Aussie!

Oni, do you prepare any of the breakfast yourself, or is it something you have prepared for you?

Most of the time I prepare my breakfast, why?

The photos made the food look really good--I was just wondering if you were in the habit of cooking your breakfasts, or if you had gone to the British version of IHOP or something.

I love to make that for myself on the weekends.

Other than that, most of the week it's this

This morning was veal t-bones

They were as bland as bland could be. Won't be eating anymore cute little baby cows in a hurry. God...just look how cute it is. I feel guilty.

Only ten minutes usually, I've been eating nothing but meat for breakfast for the past fortnight or so. I used to be an oatmeal every morning with berries addict but had to nix grains from my diet.

How was it? Do you have a recipe for it you can share? It will be nice to have something else than the usual coffee + bread for breakfast for once.

Oh I make that all the time, or something close to it.

It's rather easy. Itrs just scrambled eggs with pico de gallo

Pico+de+Gallo+500.jpg

Topped with cheese. Really simple dish and if I have some fresh tortillas I scoop it into it.

Tex-Mex food is the best food in the world. It has everything and it can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you choose.

^^^^ that looks like a mighty fine breakfast food. Especially for summer.

Nah I think it's fine. Humans seem pretty well adapted to a carnivorous diet, way more so than one involving cereal grains.

I don't intend to eat the amount of meat I am eating now forever though.
