Do you guys know if there is any correlation between the percentage bodyfat you carry and male pattern baldness.

I ask this because I read that guys putting testosterone gel on their belly have significantly more hairloss than guys putting it on their biceps or chest. Could it be that fat cells convert testosterone quickly and efficiently to DHT?

No correlation. In females, peripheral fat cells convert Androstenedione to estrogen (via aromatase). In males, no such conversion of T -> DHT occurs in peripheral fat cells

Male pattern baldness is more complicated than just DHT. Fat is not just a sack of mass that does nothing, it's considered a major organ that secretes hormones.
