Body hair keeps falling out...

What could this be?

For the last two years, I've noticed that all of my body hair comes out with ease.

My eyebrows, especially. I tend to see my eyebrow hairs all over the place. I can take my fingers and pull out 5+ of them everytime I do it.

My eyelashes, too.

I can do it with my arm and leg hair, too-- but nothing on my stomache or chest.

Is this a sign of a thyroid condition?

I've looked at some of the symptoms of a thyroid condition, and I have almost all of them

I got this from a website at http://www.healthrecipes.com:

"If you have fatigue, weight gain, low motivation and ambition, heat and/or cold intolerance, headaches and migraines, dry skin and hair, irritability, anxiety and panic attacks, hair loss, fluid retention, depression, decreased memory and concentration, unhealthy nails, brittle nails, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, low sex drive, insomnia, hives, asthma, allergies, slow healing, acne, or carpal
tunnel syndrome, you may have a thyroid disorder."

I've had a lot of those symptoms throughout my life-- except asthma and carpal tunnel. I've experienced all of the other symptoms.

Do I need to get checked up or something? I'm scared to have another condition. I know that my grandad had thyroid condition, and I think that my mom might have some sort of thyroid condition, too.

Sometimes, I have really bad fatigue... like I can't even get up for some reason.

I go through periods of great weight gain and weight loss.

My ambition isn't high at all.

I have extreme problems with heat and cold intolerance. I get panicky when I'm in an uncomfortable climate.

I used to have really dry skin and hair growing up-- it's not as bad now, but is still there.

I have pretty bad anxiety and I get panic attacks-- although, they're not as bad. I'm taking an antidepressant/antianxiety medication-- Remeron.

I have hairloss.

Not really fluid retention.

I am diagnosed with depression.

I have poor memory and concentration-- I drink socially, so maybe that's it.

My nails aren't that healthy-- tend to break a lot.

Low sex drive.

Allergies are developing.

Slow healing.

Acne is getting better.

Well a lot of these symptoms also appear with depression and anxiety so... but it can't hurt to check just to be sure.

I went through a period last year when my eyebrow hairs seemed to come out at every tug.

My brows are like the Gallaghers (Oasis, a fine Brit band), real thick!

Anyway I forgot about it, and a few months later and now they look the same as ever.

Remember hair like this only grows to a short length and then sheds.

I think when you get on the meds you totally scrutanize everything hair related, try not too!
