I don't know, Chewy. It sounds kind of medievel to me. Kind of like bloodletting for every ailment they had back then.

no i do not think this would help. in 24 hours your blood level would return to normal. it would be like if your boat was full of water and it were raining, and you take a bucket of water out of it to stop it from sinking, the rain would just fill it back up. that's my take on it anyway. if anything, constant blood donation would leave you weak and without nutrients and iron (both of which are needed for healthy hair growth).

Interesting question, but I'm afraid it won't work! :x

The elimination half-life of DHT in the bloodstream is pretty fast, like around a couple of hours or so; that means that the PRODUCTION of the hormone is ALSO pretty fast, so eliminating it (temporarily) with a blood donation is only going to have an effect for a few hours at the most. I doubt that anybody will want to give blood every few hours! :D

BTW, there is an even more fundamental problem with your plan: you're assuming that it's BLOOD DHT which causes balding! I believe that blood DHT plays only a minor role...

Also, I know that if you are on Avodart (or generic dutasteride) you shouldnt give blood for at least 6 months after stopping it.

Off topic, but i believe its important to know.
