bit of a predicament

hi im 18 years of age healthy and other wise a happy person,i started noticing rapid thinning of my hair my senior year in high school so i started using rogaine this has contained the hair loss but now im going to enlist in the army. i know if i was to bring minoxidol i would be laughed out but at the same time i dont want to lose my hair. so i was thinking if i got a prescription for propecia, finasteride whatever you want to call it, would they allow it even though its just cosmetic? im really in a tight spot, any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. btw sorry if this is in the wrong section im new here :S

i dont think many of us here are familiar with their policies. but i think if you have a prescription for it, then shouldnt they allow it?
