When I had a bald spot forming and the hair there was quite thin, i burnt it in tropics. When I massaged aftersun lotion there in the evening, the rest of the hair was loose in my fingers and since then there is a slick bald spot. Some years later when my NW3 vertex hair was thinning behind the forelock, it happaned again and I lost most of the hair there. It never grew back. Now I am N 5. I have since the beginning had summer sheds and slightly recoverd during winters, but when sunburnt, the loss was terminal.
