I read on here where someone said that when you take propecia you never actually increase your hair count to more than it was when you started taking the drug. Is this true? And how effective is propecia with the hairline? It's hard to tell from the pics on the web site.thnaks

Yea, it does increase visible haircount. Also I have seen some pics of guys who have had results at the hairline with propecia. You seem to be asking a lot of questions about propecias effectiveness. I assume you are thinking about starting your male pattern baldness battle with that. Do yourself a favor and get on it, not everyone gets the same results. You won't know what it can do for you until you try it.

yeh i have dstarted it...

been on it about 3 months, seen maybe a slowing of hair loss but no regrowth yet. Im pretty young so I'm really hoping it will work, which might explain all my questions. anyway, thanks for replying, I appreciate it

You need to read the original large Propecia study! After one year, average haircounts had increased by +86 hairs, from a starting baseline of 876 hairs (if I recall correctly). That's an increase of almost 10%.

Oh, it's like every other treatment: it can work at the front, just not as well as at the back, on average.
