I have just finished my 10 month treatment at the Auckland Clive Hair Clinic - after parting with close to NZ$3000.00, I am no better than when I first started. I do not have any significant hair loss diseases (eg. alopecia, etc) but simply a victim of the aging process. I am a fit and healthy 54yr old male. When I first went to their clinic, they promised me hair growth and thickening - after a using their products and following their regime religiously, I have to admit that there isn't any progress and I am now $3000.00 poorer.
My last consultation and protestations were fruitless. Please be careful out there!!!

"Hair Clinics" are all total crap
The worst ones will tell you to take vitamins and snake oil. The "best" ones will get you on the big 3 after charging you hefty $$$ for a consultation that consists of info found in every 2nd thread on this forum.

Agreed.

Give you overly priced snake oil claiming to be a serum to inhibit DHT, vitamins with 'proprietary/matrix blend', and minioxidil then charge you a 10x the cost for a simple infective stack.

They usually throw in the stupid hair grow helmets. Laser therapy, and charge a boat load for these sessions.

Can't forget the trivial shampoos, conditioners, and repair serums they throw at you also.

What else am I missing?

Maybe a trichologist's professional input. A lecture or two in how your diet and lifestyle is responsible for your hair loss and that you should switch to a low GI diet.

I saw a trichologist once, biggest scam going.
