Best way to spread minoxidil around whole scalp?

I started minoxidil yesterday.
Currently I'm using my fingers but I get the impression that a lot of the minoxidil stays on my fingers rather than on the scalp

Is there any better way to do it? Maybe using gloves would be better? Or a brush of some kind?

TBH I feel it should be a spray-on type thing instead of a dropper but then it would probably be harder to dose.

if a lot is staying on your fingers means its not getting to the scalp. either spend more time massaging it into your scalp, use more milliliters, or buzz down your scalp.

minoxidil would only stick to a brush, with gloves you would lose sensation (you have to rub it into your scalp with longer hair. buzzed hair it will just stay on and soak in and will run a little on to your forehead.

honestly don't stress it. just use twice a day 4 the next 4 months and see if u get results

gl on ur journey. might want to hop on finasteride too if ur not already on it

I cut the top with 3mm so it's pretty short. I guess I'll just spend some more time working it into the scalp. I've been on finasteride (low dose) since May and full dose since September. Hope to get some more from minoxidil in the coming months. Thanks.

whatevr,

was looking for this question for a while. Applying minoxidil is a time and effort consuming process - partly because of some of it stays on your fingers and hair and not the scalp. But also the dang thing dries sooo long. Foam (Rogaine dries in 10-20 min, but makes my hair sloppy) is better in this sense than liquid (Kirkland dries 1-2 hours). Does anyone know any other options to apply minoxidil which stay at your scalp, dry fast and don't mess your hair up?

Cheers!

It doesn't dry fast. But I'm having success with the other 2 things by only applying it (Rogaine liquid) at night, once a day - so it doesn't matter how much it messes up my hair, as I wash it out in the morning. And I apply it by rubbing the end of the dropper thing on my scalp, not squeezing it... so it comes out slowly enough that it mostly doesn't drip. When I do my hairline I tilt my head backwards so that it flows backwards rather than forwards. The whole process takes like 3 minutes.

Thanks. I will give it a try when I start my finasteride regime.
