Ive seen a few of the docs over at hairsite are now performing what they call "donor exchange". Basically this is taking your head donor hair and moving it up front while simultaneously replacing the donor area hair FUE holes that they create with body hair put right in the holes.
Or simply filling in the strip scar with body hair later.
In my opinon, this is the best way to get the most coverage possible without denuding the back of your head so much that it becomes painfully obvious. If you keep the hair on the back of your head relatively short, this would be the way to go if youre intent on getting surgery in my opinon.
That being said, as ALWAYS...................you need to be at least 30 before a transplant and probably 35 IMO with a good amount of body hair to bail you out if you have a disaster up there and start receeding very fast in your forties or something.
