It seems like its really hard to find a place to buy RU, isnt it?
It sound like it would be worth the hassle but my understadning is that it comes as a powder and you need to turn it into an effective liquid on your own

...which can be made easily by putting it into a bottle of minoxidil. but yes, it's not as easy to buy it or use it but the question was 'best topical' not 'bestbuyeasytouse topical'.

I'm currently using spironolactone aka S5 Cream 5% and I like it, It comes in a small jar 2oz/60g and you rub in a thin layer (it spreads approx. 2 inches while being absorbed in the skin) across the hairline twice a day, it's important to use sparingly. I apply it in the morning one hour before work and at night one hour before bed. I would recommend using this with other products such as finasteride, dutasteride or Rogaine if you're okay with medication or Revivogen Shampoo/Conditioner for a more natural approach. I have to warn you though, S5 Cream has a mild smell of skunk/mint (odd mix) but it's not over powering. In my opinion I would try it out, buy one jar at first and if it works for you buy the three pack which saves money and shipping costs. I have heard of RU as well and it seems interesting and I have heard good things about it but the hassle of having a pharmacy in India or China prepare it, the costs, the availability all weigh a little heavy on my mind, personally I will stick to a reliable source, my local pharmacy for Rogaine, Nizoral and Avodart and HairLossTalk.com Shop for Revivogen and S5 Cream which I had no problems ordering from and the customer service was fast and helpful.

My current regime: Dutasteride 0.5mg once a day, Revivogen Shampoo/Conditioner EOD, Nizoral 2% every third day, S5 Cream 5% and Rogaine 5%. So far so good, minor shed but everything is starting regrow and thicken up.

P.S. I am no doctor nor are my opinions true/false please use your own personal judgment. Everyone responds differently, what works for me may not work for you.
