I'm sure this has been asked numerous times but I haven't been here awhile so I was wondering if anything new has come out or anything..I'm slightly thinning in the crown t o where I kinda have to style my crown a certain way to hide the small bald spot that's developing.. other than minoxidil, which I don't want to use, what would be the best thing to try to use? I really don't wanna use propecia or minoxidil, but I have used Nizoral. I got a hair transplant in July of 09, and they put about 1,100 hairs in..I really don't think a few hundred even grew honsetly, and I haven't used the nizoral since the surgery..I'm thinking about getting back on that, but just wondered if anyone has had some success on the crown without finasteride or minoxidil.

Thanks

I find it strange that no hairs have grown from your hair transplant? You should have seen something in July 2010. Have you gone back to complain about this?

The best thing for the crown regrowth is actually anything with minoxidil. Foam is actually easier to apply than liquid.

Finasteride will just maintain what you have. Not the best thing to regrow the hair but some people have reported to regrow hair.

If you are adamant not to use these - you may want to trial out other stuff like revivogen etc. Just to tell you, i've tried this stuff and found it useless and more like snake-oil to be honest. Some people have reported this stuff to work.

As for the above two - I suggest you get some specialist advice.

My friend used to go to see a dermatologist but for alopecia areata and not male pattern baldness. Each time for the visit, he would get a hair massage and the person would just rub some mix of rubbish without minoxidil. This actually regrew hair out of his patches of missing hair.

So everyone is different. I'm just surprised you won't try the FDA approved stuff.
