1% Ketoconazole, plus Pyrithione Zinc, Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Saw Palmetto, Zinc Oxide, Caffeine, and more. Seems better than Regenepure DR, and Nizoral, any thoughts or reviews

If it didn't have Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it, it would probably be worth using. I like PURA D'OR Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo.

It has everything you would want but since it's a shampoo it's going down the drain along with your hair and your money. I just use Stieprox, works well and lasts a long time.

Piroctone Olamine based shampoo (T-Gel greasy), I use it every day and it does not dry out your hair like nizoral.

shampoos are a waste of money. Buy one that helps with your dandruff or makes your head feel good. The rest of it is just BS its not going to regrow or do much of anything for hair loss. I have big doubts that nizoral rivals minoxidil for hair regrowth too as some studies claim

What's the actual evidence against Sodium Laureth Sulfate?

What's the actual evidence against Sodium Laureth Sulfate?

Just my experience...
It's a pretty harsh detergent. Strips your scalp, dries hair and can cause inflamation. I used to use your everyday drug store shampoos. The Pantenes and head and shoulders even Herbal escences . I used to have a very "angry" scalp when using these SLS based shampoos. Lots of itch and flaking. Big flakes!
I stopped buying these "regular" shampoos and only started buying SLS free.
My scalp now feels great. No itch, minor flakes now and then and just a nice healthy feeling scalp. I attribute all the negative crap my scalp was going through to the SLS in those old shampoos I was using.

SLS isn't necessary. All it does is create lots of bubbles and foam. That makes people think the shampoo is doing it's job. Tons of lather doesn't mean a superior product or cleaner hair.

I know you love studies

I read a study within the last few months saying that the actual amount of SLS that would be harmful would have to be like 1000% the concentration of what is in the products we buy. If I find it I'll post it

I like studies in part because it clears the facts from the fog.

The internet loves to go on binges, not just the hatred on SLS which may or may not be backed by anything, but a lot of things. For example, the claims that coconut oil can solve all of your health problems. Maybe -- are there any facts or just BS marketing?

True dat

I base pretty much all my dietary supplements, vitamins, hygiene products, prescriptions I ask for, etc. off studies. I used to just walk in the store and buy what sounded/looked best....no reason to do this with the wealth of information we can access via the internet

That peace of mind knowing what you're using is actually beneficial and not just a marketing gimmick

What do you take for supplementation?

I've been off them for a few months, but will be starting again soon. Previously I was on:
Vitamin D3, nearly every day
Fish oil, nearly every day
Glucosamine Chondritin, nearly every day
BCAA, rarely
Whey protein, nearly every lifting day

Morning: Multivitamin, vitamin d3, fish oil (typical genericish ones from walmart/drugstore). The multivitamin is kind of just insurance in case I miss out on some nutrients with my restricted calorie intake. As far as the vitamin d, it might be nocebo, but I feel like it helps keep me from depression. Of the fish oil, I take a serving 150% of what's recommended on the bottle, as from what I've read a higher amount of Omega 3 is better

With dinner: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007889Z1C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I Have to take this one with food or it really upsets my stomach. Calcium citrate is a superior form of calcium for absorbing into the bones

At night: https://www.amazon.com/Lindberg-Ski...t_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XK1DKTZ08PD5VDDZDF1E

I also take Whey protein after workouts as well as throughout the day when I don't have another protein source available, and Casein protein before bed
