best regime without propecia?

Hiya

Im 22 and my hair is getting progressivly thinner at the front and the temples, its really getting me down i think if this was happening later on in life i could handle it bettr, I really dont want to take finasteride.

But could anyone tell me if there is anything that comes close to it, at the moment ive started on centrum multi vittamins, green tea capsules, saw palmetto, and nizoral shampoo.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hairline and temples are one of the hardest places for any regimen to get right. Even with my fairly extreme regimen I've had to resort to hair transplant surgery to sort out my hairline.

Saying that, as you're taking action right away you have more chance of catching it. I've heard some people say that Minoxidil can help with the hairline. I'm sure someone will add to this shortly...

It has demonstrated similar efficacy after 6 months treatment as that observed with current oral therapy for alopecia after twelve months, based on the increase in net hair count. Again, no systemic anti-androgenic effect was observed (n=90).

Im currently taking antidepressants, (venlafaxine) if i did take finasteride would this interfear with it in anyway?
