I obviously know that shampoos cannot regrow hair or anything like that, but I've heard that certain shampoos can make your hair looker thicker and fuller. I believe that Neutrogena's Volumizing Shampoo did that for me, but they recently discontinued it. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any other great volumizing shampoo that works; that will make my hair look fuller and thicker during the cooler and drier weather.

Not a shampoo but I always found that this hairstyling routine always left my hair looking thick with much more volume

1. Apply 2-4 pumps of mousse to damp hair (I use GHD Total Volume Foam which already includes a heat protectant, use one beforehand if the mousse you're using doesn't)

2. Blow-dry to your liking

Thickening shampoos tend to be hit or miss whereas this routine has always left my hair looking full (and the good thing is this mousse isn't sticky either, my hair feels very natural afterwards). The only bad thing is the hold is not so great, you'd definitely need to follow up with some sort of matte wax (pomades, creams and gels tend to make hair look more separated and hence thinner) if it's a windy day or you know you're going to be out and about for more than 6 hours or so.

This video contains another great routine to get the appearance of thicker hair (if you look carefully you can even see he's well into NW2 but he hides it very well). Such routines are good starting points if you're in the early stages of Androgenetic Alopecia.
