guys,

I am 2.5 years in finasteride and it works for me. I dont loose hair any more and I dont need to try Rogaine again (which I hate, cause it was very irritating for me and I didnt see any regrowth).

But, I am thinking that sooner or later I have to stop finasteride because I m very scared about the sexual side effects. I read many things in this side and I noticed many things on me too.

I know that there is no FDA-approved method to replace finasteride. But what would you suggest if I had to replace it...I could increase the use of ketoconazole to daily, but thats not enough I think...Any topical solution??
Fluridil maybe..? but it looks like scam to me...

I dont need more hair..Dermatch and HsR works well, but I am afraid that after 2.5 years in finasteride, I would have a big shedding if I stop it... :freaked2:

Fluridil, there was a study done on people who stopped finasteride and there was very little if any shed.

Sorry I don't have a link, but it's on these boards somewhere.

Having said that, I can't see sexual side effects getting worse or changing 2.5 years in :/ Your body would have reached homeostasis by now I'd imagine.

Instead I'd look around at something like maca root which is safe, effective, and cheap to boot.

Thanks guys,

I think nobody can really say which of the non-FDA approved therapies is the best or worthy..but my instict says to try revivogen and not fluridil...dont know why...the thing that Revivogen is advertised in this website is also encouraging for me, cause through the site of hairlosstalk I discovered and use products like Dermatch and Jason thin to thick, but also ketoconazole, which were great!!!

Anyway, I have to say that Revivogen and fluridil are very expensive for a lifelong use...but I am really scared with finasteride and even more scared with the thought to become a 5, 8 or 10 year finasteride user!!!

Question: If I stop the finasteride (probably while having already start the alternative therapy, Revivogen etc) and I notice shedding, which I havent noticed the last 2.5 years...and I decide to start finasteride immediately...Will I interrupt the loss of finasteride-dependent hair and place myself in the position before? Or if the shedding starts I will not have the time to save the hair by going back to finasteride? :freaked2:

Thanks

by the way, God Bless Dermatch...
