Been on Fincar 4 months, should i add minoxidil

I have been on Fincar for 4 and a half months. In this time my hair has receded and also slightly thinned. I dont think the Fincar (Finasteride) incourage the thinning or the receding. I just think that was going to happen what ever i took.

Does this mean Fincar is not working? Or is 4 and a half months too short to tell? I would have thought that a shed or something would have happened by now.

Is it time for me to add minoxidil to my regime? Maybe this with the Fincar would finally put a stop to my receding hairline. I just wondered what everyone else thought. Am really not sure whether or not i should add minoxidil. If i dont add minoxidil now then when should i, 2 months?, 4? 6? 8? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes it's still to early to tell. Keep at it it's a long journey.

Only add minoxidil now if you have already lost alot of your hair, as it's quite a commitment.

I would only add minoxidil after you have been on finasteride for at least a year. If you add too many things at once you will never know what worked and then be stuck with all the treatments for a lifetime.
