When those of you who cut their hair with just the guard.. do you use the metal guard or the plastic guard?

b/c the metal #2 is like the plastic #1

I'm going to cut my hair short next time I go. they use the metal ones.

I was thinkiing #1 on the sides and as close as you can cut with scissors on the top.

I was thinkiing #1 on the sides and as close as you can cut with scissors on the top.

I use the 1.5 on the side, blended up well so you don't get the lampshade look. 1 is really short on the side. Tell em to cut the top close like you said with scissors. It looks pretty good, and it's find if you are losing hair. People can barely tell on me anymore now that I get it cut like this.
