Did you know transgenders going through transitioning surgery are able to get hair transplants and many other costly surgeries covered by insurance, Medicare and medicaid?

Please no arguments on here of whether they should be able to get these treatments or not. This is about us who have the problem of balding and being able to get equal treatment.

For some of us going bald is much like a transgender trying to transition to a different sex. It's scary, it can be depressing, and studies have even shown that our fellow humans out there who have lucious full heads of hair actually get treated better, in many cases landing higher salaries, and more opportunities. Much like a lgbt or any minority for that matter, yet since our problem is not a hot topic or very conflicting, we never are heard.

Time to take a stand. I believe hair transplants and regiments should be covered under any insurance or medicaid/medicare. So let's start making it a fight just like lgbt has done, to spread our word and get info out there that going bald can be very detrimental to our health. From depression, to financial ruin in trying to solve your baldness on your own, to feeling shy and depressed every time you have to show your head.

In many ways we are a minority who are wrongly treated. Not much has come in the way for helping balding people out, so like other groups let's make them hear us.

If transgenders are able to get hair transplants plus many other costly surgeries done because it affects mental health and physical health I don't see any reason why our problem is only considered COSMETIC. For some it's much more than the looks of a full head of hair. That full head of hair was our original self and it can be quite tormenting living a life after such a sudden change
