I have 3 bald spots. 2 close to eachother on the back of my head and one on the side of my head. They appeared within the past 3-4 hours! I know this aint normal. I workout, so my protein intake is very high, and im on an excellent diet. my bf% is a mere 6%

Im hoping this is related to what happened this afternoon. I changed my oil in my car. I had some gloves on, but some oil seaped through and got in my finger nails. I washed my hands ( i thought thoroughly) with that orange goo stuff that removes grease etc... I took a shower right afterwards, and im hoping that these bald spots are temporary from the oil or the orange stuff. Some chemical in it. To appear so fast and couple hours after my shower. I know i had a small bald spot at the top of my head couple months ago, and i didnt do anything to it, and the hair grew back. Im hoping this is the same situation.

I buzz my head, so there's not much hair, but the spots are noticeable. Im hoping to god this is only temp due to a chemical i had on my hands when i washed my hair.

Its sounds like AA which normally leaves bald patches.

A definition of alopecia areata

Alopecia areata (AA) is a non-scarring, inflammatory, hair loss disease that can affect men, women and children. The factors that activate the onset of alopecia areata and the mechanisms of its development are not fully understood. Circumstantial evidence suggests alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease where cells of an individual's own immune system prevent hair follicles from producing hair fiber. Although alopecia areata is not life threatening, the pressures of an image orientated society can make hair loss psychologically devastating for those affected, their families, and friends.
