that certianly isnt male pattern baldness, looks like some kind of birth defect. Anyway, I would probably look into a transplant in that one spot. Shouldnt be that expensive cuz its a small area.

sorry, but whats male pattern baldness ?

also, is there a certain type of transplant that would be best for my situation?

How is a transplant usually done? I have no clue where to start.

thanks again

Looks like a rhino horn is about to bust through right there. I hate it when that happens.

Honestly if its been there since birth, you will likely need a hair transplant in order to correct the problem.

man if its been there since birth and doesnt bother you insanely I think you should just leave it be. If you got hair transplanted to that area and you're hair started thinning later on you would have a patch of hair in the front of your head while the rest of your hair got thinner and thinner.

I think the first step would be to head to a dermatologist and see what they think. It can't hurt. You can even look up good hair transplant Doctor and exchange emails and all that.

It's not raised/swollen in any way. No scalp irritation or dryness.

I wen't to a derm. a long time ago (which I believe wasn't that good now that I think about it), and she just said that it was some birth mark/defect that I couldn't do anything about....that was pretty much it.

could someone give me email adds. of some good docs. to contact about this?

thanks all for the input.
