Hi all, I have started noticing some diffusing under my crown. As from what I know that is usually the last part to go I was wonderimg if it was part of the normal hair loss process. As you can see I also have a bald spot but I am fine with that. I am almost 24 btw.

It is called Retrograde Alopecia. While it is common to have some retrograde alopecia it is not that common to have solely loss on the back/sides. Usually treatment is the same. Was this sudden or a gradual process?

Thanks for the reply. To be honest, I haven't really been keeping track of it. But I have only noticed it recently, so I assume it must have happened with the latest shedding. I used get some sort of densyfing drops(not minoxidil) which was supposed to make the hair stronger, nut I stopped in the last couple of years. Is it possible that played a role? It might be bullshit but I usually felt like it was doing something. So will it only get worse? It's a bit too early for me, but I am wondering about side effects.

I cannot say for sure, but it most likely will get worse as most hair loss does. If this is the only loss you can just apply Rogaine here+keep the sides longer to hide some of the area.

I see. Any possibility it would be Telogen Effluvium? I say that because I have had some stress and the male badness pattern in my family seems to follow the more classical route.

Of course there is a possibility that it could be.

You should provide better pictures in normal lighting if you can. Also provide side and hairline shots. From your current pic, yes it appears bad, but pictures can be deceiving.

So these pictures are a bit crappy but should show the situation.
Now that I look at it it seems on its way out. Is finisteride worth it ir should I justt let it go peacefully? But I am surprised about tjis oattern because everyone in my family seems to have started losing it in their 30s aand have lots in the back
