Azelaic acid & Retin A - Can I use both?

Just wondering if its a bad idea to use products where one has Azelaic Acid, and the other Retin A?

I'm a huge fan of Retin A and this with minoxidil has given me the most hair growth... however i've placed an order for Revivogen, and this contains Azelaic Acid... so would using one in the am and the other in the pm be too much for my scalp?
