Dear all,
I saw so many people are crazy about the formulation that has 15% minoxidil and 5% azelaic acid. Does it really work better than minoxidil alone. I have been using 5% minoxidil for years. I got good results, but not competely satisfied. Want to get your opinion on the 15% minoxidil plus 5% azelaic acid.

minoxidil 5% with a. acid made me wonder! I'm using with 3,75mg finasteride in 60ml. This is amazing! AND WITHOUT ANY SIDES! (note that I'm pretty sensitive for the finasteride!)

Stay topical, stay healthy! :punk:

15% minoxidil hasn't been tested in clinical trials, but there have been plenty of trials using the standard 2% and 5% formulations. If you want to try the product with 15% minoxidil, you're using it at your own risk.

Topical azelaic acid hasn't been tested for fighting hair loss, either. Frankly, I doubt that it works.

azelaic acid in combination with zinc and vit B6 has been shown to inhibid skin DHT up to 98% !!!....(wait for it)...... in mice skin in a "in vitro" study.

Promising? Sure, but the thing about in vitro studies is that they only account for ONE small biochemical environment, whereas as in vivo study accounts for the whole oranism. We can kill almost every type of cancer in vitro. But the same compunds have little or no effect in vivo.

Azelaic acid is not a proven hairloss treatment (although it has been effective in some cases of alopecia areata on women), but minoxidil is.
If you really want to find out azelaic acids "effectiveness", try it alone. It MIGHT work, but it also might not. In combination with minoxidil, well, since minoxidil is an effective proven treatment, how do you know your effect isn´t just from minoxidil alone?

No, it was in human skin, not mouse skin.

As Bryan said azelaic acid hasn't been tested for fighting hair loss. When it comes to 15% minoxidil, the higher percentage doesn't mean it will be more effective.

I tried this for a few months and started to lose what I had gained using the 5% and finastride. It's slimy and stays slimy and sticky all day until you wet it down or shampoo again. It's a scam in my opinion. I'm switching back to 5% minoxidil and finastride.
