Avodart: Can the dose be staggered initially?

Hi,

Could anyone please tell me if when beginning Avodart, can one take a loading dose initially on the first day so it gets into the bloodstream faster? If so, what would be a good starting loading dose and is there any benefit? Also, taking perhaps 5 mg a day for 1 week and then going back to 0.5 mg -- Is there any benefit in doing this and is this all safe to do?

Try taking 1.5 mg per day for the first ten days, then going to the normal dose of 0.5 mg per day.
