nice find;
"These data, together with promotion of viability of DP cells and upregulation of growth factors such as IGF-1, HGF, VEGF, and KGF, suggest that tianeptine or its derivatives may have potential for treating and preventing hair loss by regulating human hair cycling."

But we still need more data.

Tianeptine is unfortunately highly addictive, so we can only try it topical.

BTW Has anyone tried any form of dkk1 inhibitors? Any results?

what's surprising is I see some people using the drug on few forums as antidepressant (oral obv) : they
speak of hair thinning. So maybe it could depends on dose and way of delievering it. like you say topical.. that said I doubt people have already tried this angle for male pattern baldness, because we know nothing about it; side effect, long run efficiency(or does it make things worse)... etc .russian roulette.

Yeah, I also saw mixed opinions on depression forums, so it's too risky.

Androgens still seem to be the only proven culprit and factor.
