lol to all the females victimizing themselves 20 years later after getting rich and famous.

Saying how creeped out they were to be around Weinstein, and then orbiting him for 20 years and now claiming how "victimized" they are.

Angelina Jolie, at least, is on record avoiding the Pig (she went and told her then-husband brad pitt and he tried to do something about it)

SAID WEINSTEIN CREEPED HER OUT AND THEN WAS HANGING ALL OVER HIS ***

HATED ON TRUMP FOR LOCKER ROOM TALK, BUT ENABLED THE PIG AND SAID HE COULD RAPE HER IF HE COULD MAKE HER RICH

Always had a thing for Ashley. But after her crazy feminist rant I got a little turned off.

It's good that Pitt actually confronted weinstein and told him to back off.
Do you think Chris Martin from Cold Play, Gwyneths husband at one point would have done the same?
Me thinks not.

Hollywood as a whole disgusts me. Self absorbed people who think their opinions have a stance over the general population. Bunch of pedophiles and rapist , I hope they're exposed for who they really are. This goes for all of Washington DC as well.

They had no choice but to orbit Weinstein, as he was the king of Hollywood. They obeyed him and did as they were told. The alternative was professional suicide.

There's not a lot that's funny here. These men were serial abusers. Weinstein has 40+ women after him and counting, he did things like barge into women's hotel rooms uninvited and demand sex. James Toback has 300+ women after him. Brett Ratner has 6+ women after him. David O'Russell confessed to sexually assaulting his niece.

These aren't the men that you want to defend.

While I believe sexual harassment is a real and important issue that many women face, it's pretty clear that lots of women are using this as a craven career move. The celebrities who are spearheading #metoo are almost all in a career slump - this is no coincidence. Ashley Judd, Gabrielle Union, Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan. I see it as a particularly galling example of Sheryl Sandberg-style feminism. It's really revolting.

Rose McGowan isn't using this to p'rop up her career, this is how she lost her career in the first place. Harvey Weinstein put in the effort to bury her films, and a while back her agent walked away from her because she was a feminist.

Some of you guys have such an irrational hatred of victims that you come up with these deluded ***-backwards conspiracy theories.

It's not a conspiracy my dude, it's plain as day.

I think Rose McGowan's career slipped after her car accident and subsequent plastic surgeries. ~In my opinion.~

But there's no sense arguing it. As I said harrassment is most definitely a problem and it's a disgraceful activity to use it as an attention grab. If you happened to see the ABC Ashley Judd interview the first thing she says is "I am so blessed to be here.," ie being interviewed by Diane Sawyer.

Stars see the power of social media campaigns and it's not a conspiracy to observe the way they exploit it. Seen any celebrities wearing a AIDS ribbons lately? They were de rigueur in the 90s. Not so much now. Yes the spectre of HIV has rescinded but still you see my point. Hashtag activism and virtue signaling are proven ways to garner attention and people - including women - are using it. Radical chic is a thing.

It's not a matter of opinion for you to make up conspiracy theories over.

Harvey Weinstein tried to bury her movies and thus stuck a dagger in her career. Her agent dropped her because she was a feminist. Those are things that happened.

If she was the woman you make her out to be, she wouldn't be in the news at all. She's doing the exact opposite of what she should be doing according to your (mis)understanding of the world.

Career Suicide""""",,,,,hmmmm.

So, Gwyneth, ashley, and angelina, ...all of whom have family in show business, couldnt have made it without
Weinstein?

I just find that hard to believe.

I think more it was just that they didnt want to "rock the boat" like all the rest of the hypocrites.

I don't know the ins and outs of Rose McGowan's career specifically but lol at the idea that being an avowed feminist will torpedo a Hollywood career. Yeah, okay... Like I said, Virtually all of these women are aged out of being the Hot Young Thing™ and are now positioning themselves as SJWs. I'm not saying Weinstein wasn't a creep and that he didn't abuse these women. I just agree with the OP - it doesn't take a cynic to see how celebrities are using this to reliven their careers - NOW - after its become an official Huge Thing. The main thing is getting your name out there. Rose McGowan went from "oh yeah, that goth girl who was in Scream and who wore a super slutty dress while dating Marilyn Manson (when he was a huge star, mind you, oddly she's not still dating him now that he's a relic from another era))," to being featured on the Today show and being part of the social media zeitgeist.

Well then don't f*****g comment if you have no idea. Given that you don't know anything, then it's better for you to read than to write.

McGowan's not doing this for the money -- she actually declined a 1 million dollar settlement from Weinstein.

while dating Marilyn Manson (when he was a huge star, mind you, oddly she's not still dating him now that he's a relic from another era)),"
LMAO that's f*****g insane.

Do you not realize that the vast majority of relationships that were going on in 1995 are long since over? Nearly all relationships end by the 20-year mark, even half of marriages are over at that mark. There is no reason for you to gravitate to any particular conspiracy theory as to why the Manson-McGowan relationship ended -- you have no idea.

Jeez, why are you getting so angry? I didn't think this was a contentious topic. Yes most relationships end. I was just painting a picture. I guess we don't see it the same way. I don't know how you could see this situation without any cynicism.
