This has to be compared to water based adhesives and confirmed by a chemist, before I can start using tape.

Flash off is normal chemistry it has nothing to do with the product it's when a chemical dries

A very unscientific and crude comparison would be that water is dangerous because you can drown in it but when you boil it ... and the vapors dissipate AKA flash off... it is no longer a threat.
