The studies either fabricated the actual rate of side effects, or their definition of "gynecomastia" is different than ours.

If by "gynecomastia" they meant - people who grew very small breasts, then I'd say the rate is ~ 1%.

But if we redefine "gynecomastia" to mean "anyone who gets puffy nipples, breast itching, tenderness, discomfort or even minor growth of any kind", I would say the rate is far closer to 20-30%.
