Are oily scalps and hair loss directly correlated?

I just noticed my scalp is pretty oily and my dandruff is kind of yellow and greasy. I haven't put any topicals on my head since 2 weeks ago and im not on finasteride.

had oily scalp during my late teens before male pattern baldness and during initial stages of male pattern baldness......somehow the oilines stabilised over time....its defnetly related since the oily scalp is rich in DHT///
