This question is for those with long hair, what's the best way to apply minoxidil to your hairline and vertex?

Hey, i have semi long hair.

Ik use kirkland foam on the temples/hairline, and kirkland liquid on the vertex.

vertex, i would use the liquid form, get the nozzle of the dropper directly on your scalp, then use it to rub it into the scalp.
hairline, tilt your head back and do the same thing, use the nozzle directly on the scalp along the hairline at many different points.
in this way the max gets onto the scalp and not the hair.

I take 0.5 ml and squirt it all out fast just above each temple, then try to direct the dripping to cover my front, then do the same thing on my crown. If you try to apply small amounts at specific locations then it just gets in your hair and never reaches your scalp. Controlled dripping is the way to go

Thanks guys, I have used minoxidil on my hairline before so that's the easy part, but this time around I need to also apply it to my vertex. I ordered some 5% liquid, I'll see how that works. If worst comes to worst I'll just drench the area, liquid minoxidil is cheaper then dirt.

On another note, last time I shaved my head before I started shedding, but I don't think I can do that this time. How bad is the actual shed, usually? Would you guys say it was worse then the shed from finasteride?
