anyway to detect fake finasteride?

Been using Finax for a while. Anyone know any ways to see if its legit like taste or smell or something?

real finasteride won't change color when soaked in urine. take a handful of pills and put them in a cup of urine. if color remains than simply continue taking pills. if color fades than you have fake finasteride.

you can still use the finasteride that u used in the urine test. don't leave it in too long otherwise it'll dillute. only need them in there for 5 seconds.

report back on ur findings.

c'mon man....i was kidding. no way to tell fake finasteride from real finasteride...that's why ppl should just order the FDA approved ones like propecia or proscar. if they don't, they'll always wonder if the stuff they took was real or not. if one can't afford it than oh well...if u can't afford finasteride than u must have other expenses more important so tend to those first. like some ppl that hope to get a job so they can afford hairloss meds but worry about their baby momma finding out they have a job and will have to pay child support...pathetic.

well the guys that i bought finasteride from, well they have this cardboard shack where they sell it out of and can do the test there. they said it was the only real way to tell if it works. i was skeptical at first, but felt at ease when they told me that's how the pharmacy checks their incoming finasteride to make sure it's not a fake. so we lined up 2 cups of urine, one of them was mine, and we started soaking some finasteride tablets. wouldn't u know it, the tablets out of the bottle labeled 'placebo' not only turned different colors but also dissolved as soon as it touched the urine. fyi, the urine was room temp and collected 2 hrs before the test...we discussed the different ways to block DHT and several regimens for hairloss while we waited. The bottle labeled 'Real finasteride', which are the ones the guys are selling, withstood the color test after being in the urine for 1 whole minute! You only need 5 seconds to confirm a positive reading, anything longer the finasteride DHT fighting mechanism is weakened by the PH of the urine, so unfortunately we had to discard the real finasteride tablets which wasn't a big deal to the guys but for me it was like pulling hair out of my own head and throwing it down the drain like it was no big deal.

Ive often wondered about fake finasteride on the internet, I mean how would you know??

I mean its a little easier if its fake v**** or something (for obvious reasons) but what about finasteride? You cant really know because there is no immidiate reaction to it.

Personally I think the only way to tell is to break it open and smell the strong odor.

Maybe mine are fake. Wouldnt suprise me actually. How funny would that be! Ive been buying them from the same place all this time too..

finasteride is a banned substance for professional athletes, so there must be a way of testing for it. Obviously, we do not have full blown labs at home, so we couldn't do those tests.

I tried finasteride for a week only, I can tell from the way it changed my body it wasn't fake. If I took another tablet now, I would expect similar reaction.

Yeah but they wont prescribe you proscar will they? Becauce most GP's are pretty dumb and wouldnt have a clue that its the same medication.

But yeah I think im going to have to do that in a couple days because I only have 2 proscar tablets left and my order from overseas has not arrived yet (been 20 days) think it got lost in the mail. So yeah im basically screwed, if i dont recieve it in another week. My only chance is to get a prescription from a GP and get some from the pharmacy.

You can't detect finasteride with tests this is the problem and thats why its banned for atheletes because its classed as a masking agent. (its not performance enhancing) In other words it messes with the hormones so you can't detect other more serious performance enhancing drugs like steriods etc..

Most people do fine getting proscar from a Doctor...I did. People should actually try instead of reading a few posts on the internet and accepting failure.
