Anyone using liquid adhesive on a lace + poly unit?

And if so, why?

I have a client who only wants lace + poly, but uses a liquid bond. I can't see the benefit of this. I always recommend poly (or skin) surround for those who use TAPE.

Before I convince him to change, I wanted to see if anyone uses this combination, and if so... WHY?

I ran away from this combination.

At first I assumed it was more secure and it was recommended by the salon who discouraged use of tape to begin with.

Then you realise it's horrible to clean and reduces breathability.

Maybe they assume it's more secure?

I have no idea, I will need to ask. To be honest... I am at odds with some of the stylists that I have to deal with. They tell my clients absolute BS!

The advantage with the Poly coating would be that the liquid doesn't leak through onto the lace and into the hair. However, the hold is usually not the greatest when it comes to a full liquid application, so I often push back on those type of adhesive applications, unless they have a vloop thin skin type of scenario.
Yeah I agree, I can't see it being advantageous really.
