Anyone used memory foam mattress toppers?

How good are the 1" and 2" toppers? Is there a big difference between brands? I want to spend less that $150. I heard I'll have to replace them in 6 months if I want to keep them at full memory.

I want one that will let me sleep on my back all night and wake up more rested, for less aging.

...

On a side note, cortisol, the stress hormone, builds up to too high a level in people who are stressed out all the time. It actually shortens telomers faster, shortening your life span and putting over a decade on your age by age 40. So squinting and staring at your computer screen in depression about your hair or not getting a date will age you and make you look worse. I read that in Life Extension magazine.

I bought the foam. I have not slept on it. It is not as ventilated as they say, but very nice feeling. Well worth the low price. The twin was smaller than it is supposed to be (34 inches instead of 39, though advertized correctly), so I bought the full, cut the excess and used that as a pillow and an extra 1.5 inches down the middle. Good stuff. 2 or 3 inches would be better, from sleeping on the double layer, but the price is much higher. I should just get two. But I'll see how this does for now.

yeah, not as good as I'd like, but no pressure points. I still think I'm going to turn a bit in bed.

There is no description. It just has a long name that is intended to sound like a discription. Why do they name it 5.5 when someone might mistake that for inches of thickness? And there is no picture. 4 of them are just of a woman. Only one shows and extreme close up of a corner. Is it a three piece bed?

And how many inches by how many inches is it? They say it is a twin, but a lot of foam mattress covers are 6 inches too small for some reason. I wonder why they don't list the dimensions.

this is the one i got, changed my life. I think i got it for $70 but it is still a steal at $85, should be less than one hundred shipped and you get the pillow free (I didn't)

I found a discription at the bottom: 38x3x75. But they say the 5.5, 6.5, and 6.8 are 2 inches, 3 inches, and 4 inches respectively. Then they say they are selling the 5.5, but that it is 3 inches thick. Contradiction. I wonder what they are actually selling, the 2 inch 5.5, or the 3 inch 6.5. To return it, you have to pay shipping both ways and a 20% restocking fee. I think a lot of people would just keep the 2 inch rather than pay that. I also think those reviews are fake. I bought a topper from target and wrote a review, and to this day when I check their site, I don't see the reveiw on the site with the other reveiws. I know this is not target, though.

Our mattress has a layer of memory foam built-in. We have no complaints - it's quite comfortable.
