Consultants cannot and should never attempt to make a diagnoses disposition on patients as only a licensed physician can do that. It's called "practicing medicine" yet there are consultants (sales staff) that do it on a regular basis and I hear about it from the hairloss community more than you would like to know. These salespeople are trained to "close the deal" and in many instances "patients never end up seeing the doctor" or in some situations never meet the surgeon until the day of surgery. :freaked: I often advise patients to RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOUR FEET CAN CARRY YOU if you go to a consultation and the doctor is not there. Some of the hair mills set-up satellite offices which are nothing more than an office to close deals and they are staffed by commissioned consultants with little if ever any medical staff around much less the doctor who is the one that's going to do the surgery?! :freaked: Who's kidding who? There's too many consultants attempting to and/or actively practicing medicine without a medical license. Many of these individuals have little to NO medical training at all and their performance reviews are not based on quailty of patient care, rather strictly sales production. Some of the hair mills have weekly and monthly sales quotas to make or ELSE. Can't you just imagine a consultant enrolling you for a surgical procedure because he/she has to "makes sales quota"? Any of you guys ever go to a consultation and feel like you just visited a used car lot?

It's okay if you go to your consultation "where the doctor" is day-to-day and he/she may very well be in surgery or attending another patient so if the doctor cannot meet with you just then, simply wait or schedule a time when you can be sure to meet with that physician. That's the time when you will be properly diagnosed and appropriate treatment is rendered. Any reputable doctor will want to meet with their patient pre-operatively. :)

Lastly, some sales consultants will tell you that you are not a candidate if they "sense" you are wasting their time and/ or if they sense you are not buying today. BEWARE! :freaked2:
