Anyone Had Results From Adding Topical spironolactone while on finasteride?

On my 2nd go with finasteride after 12 months or so my temples have continued to recede so I started up topical spironolactone 5% lotion. It's been 3 months or so and nothing has gotten better. In fact it seems to have jump started the receding a little bit but I could be imagining.

I want to know though has anyone whose hairloss (particularly the hairline or temples) did not stop receding while on finasteride for at least 12 months, start topical spironolactone, and have their hairline/temples stop receding while still taking finasteride and possibly have thickening of existing hair and even have some slight regrowth?

Theoretically wouldn't a topical spironolactone/finasteride combo come pretty darn close to castration? So if this combination doesn't stop hairloss how can that be explained if it's true that a spironolactone/finasteride combo is almost like being castrated?

Frankly, I'd rather not use topical spironolactone since it's such a hassle and if I get a hair transplant in the frontal area it'd be even a greater pain in the *** to apply topical spironolactone on the area behind the transplanted hair.

Why not use minoxidil on your temples if you want regrowth?

I've tried minoxidil but I get lightheaded and my heart rate accelerates so I can't really use minoxidil. I don't necessarily need regrowth although it'd definitely be nice, but I just want my hairline to stop receding and hopefully to thicken up as well.

I use to have those symptoms too but they dissappear in a few weeks.. 2% minoxidil may do the trick for you.
