Hey guys, Been experimenting with glue and my favourite thus far is mity tite. It doesn't hold as long as Ultrahold but is good enough and VERY easy to apply & easy to clean up so just do touch-ups more often. Also less concentration of the questionable ingredients so with a thick scalp protector I feel better using it. I do want to try white glue again and give it a lot more time to cure which I will soon but have read amazing things about Davyln green. Does anyone from the UK use Davyln? If so where do you source it from? I can't find anywhere in the UK and the shipping from the US makes little sense without a big order.

Cheers!

In my opinion, they're all very similar. Mighty tite being a diluted form of ultrahold. I've used Acrylic adhesives such as: sunshine, ultra hold, mighty tight, Davlyn black, and Davlyn green. They're all comparable. However diluted ultrahold (with 99% alcohol) is the same as buying mighty tight or davlyn, they all work the same.

very useful, thanks man. I forgot to ask this question with my original post. I did try the alcohol trick you suggested with ultra hold but ran out of space in the bottle and then it wasn't mixing properly and I was still having problems applying thin layers. The mity tite is VERY easy to use. Two thin layers and good to go for 4-5 days.

No matter what the ratio is, it will blend. Leave the bottle vertical for a while, flip it over anytime you're walking past it, flip it upside down it will mix perfectly.

Cheers, will give that a shot. I did shake it well but didn't leave it upside down for extended periods of time. I do really like mity tite though. The lesser hold time just means easier clean-up but the hold is still pretty decent. Consistency is PERFECT IMO but you still need to work reasonably fast. Takes me around 20-30 mins to re-do the front. I do it at night before bed, comb the hair back and wear a headband over night and in the morning looks amazing with no hairs stuck in the hairline.

One tip I have that may help others is to use these kind of brushes:

For the Walkers Sport Max & the Glue I use those brushes and it leads to a high degree of precision and they are amazing for applying everything evenly.

I plan on making a thread of lessons learnt in my first 2 months of wearing. Hoping it will help others and also people can critique anything I am doing that can be done better. Should have some time over Xmas.

If mighty tite, works well for you...No need to dilute ultrahold.

Yeah I am def going to stick to it for the time being. But do have a full bottle of ultrahold so worth trying to mix it a bit better!
