Anyone Ever Switched From Minoxidile To Finasteride?

If you have used minoxidil for a bit over a year with good results, but want to start using finasteride and stop minoxidile while doing that. What can one expect in genereal in terms of loss and gains would you people guess?

to clarify, would this result in a net gain or a net loss or status quo, if we would guess that i am a okay responder to finasteride?

Why not use both? Chances are when you come off the minoxidil you will lose what you initially gained. Stay on the minoxidil and add finasteride.

You will lose visible hair if you come off the minoxidil onto the finasteride. Finasteride will work straight away to stabilise your hair but you won't see any visible regrowth for months if you do ( a lot of people don't see any regrowth at all with finasteride)

Because i hate minoxidil... i have decided to come off it.

You will lose the hair that would not have grown without Minoxidil. For example, if Minoxidil made you grow hair on your forehead, Finasteride would not keep this hair and you would lose it upon cessation (as an example). It does not mean you will lose everything you gained however because it could have also just stimulated and supported what was already going to grow. In this case, you probably wouldn't lose this. I used Minoxidil for six months 10yrs ago and stopped and did not lose it all.

You should use both for optimal results. From what I learned, minoxidil is pretty much useless in the long run without a dht blocker like finas

You could also use a different vehicle (such as foam) and use it less frequently--once every day or once every other day as opposed to twice a day.
