Hi there,

I started the following regimen 3 months ago:

Morning : Minoxidil (hairline)
Afternoon : Foligen (hairline)
Evening : Crinagen (all over)
Night : s5 cream (all over)

I have seen regrowth in the temple area of the frontal hairline, which I would mostly attribute to minoxidil, although the other products may have contributed. From my research all these products have different mechanisms of action and 'cover all bases' of hair loss theory I guess.

I tried one pill of propecia before and had side effects so that's a no go, seems a stupid idea anyway.

However, in the last week, I believe I have the following side effects:

Gyno - noticeable accumulation of fatty tissue in my chest and now i think about it, a month or so ago they were a bit sore, I just put it down to going to the gym

Testicular shrinkage - I can't say for sure but they definitely seem smaller

Lethargy - I have been so tired all the time, but it has crept up on me over time and I couldn't pinpoint it

Irregular sleep patterns - I have been noticeably more restless at night, waking up more frequently

Frequent urination - I noticed this recently also

Spots on my face - noticed this a bit recently, again could be coincidence but thought I would mention

Given the gyno, it would have to be the s5 cream or the crinagen that is causing it, and I would guess that the s5 cream is the culprit, given what oral spironolactone can do to the male body. I have stopped using those two products and will post the changes accordingly.

I would like to know if anyone else has experienced any side effects? Those of you that use it, is there more fatty tissue in your chest?

I appreciate any responses.

Thanks,

Mike

I never had any side effects from s5. How much do you use every time. You wrote you apply it "all over". Use it only on thinning areas and you don't need to use a lot. Maybe you are using too much and that's why you developed side effects but I read studies about topical spironolactone and it very rarely get in the blood streams. It absorb locally.

Well that's a lot of side effects you listed. Usually when something is going on you just notice just one or 2 side effects and now whole bunch of them all the sudden. Maybe you are stressing too much and some stuff you listed is just in your head. It happens sometimes.
