What were/are your experiences. I just knocked out Day 2 and I feel great but totally beat.

I haven't tried it yet but it seems great.

I guess nothing beats having your own PT, though. I hired one recently and I'm happy with the results: I don't have to plan anything and I know for sure that I'm doing the right exercises. Most people at the gym don't know what they're doing and are just wasting their time.

And I lost 12 lbs in three months - it's not exceptional but I'm happy.

I only have around 15 lbs to lose but I want to tighten up my midsection (get rid of the flab), and strengthen my core. I just want to be in top shape cardiovascular wise.

I'm on week 2 now and I can tell you that it really does condition you well. The belly area is already a bit more trim and I feel stronger and more confident doing the moves. So far I like it better than p90x because the time goes by fast. You really don't have an opportunity to get bored because you're constantly involved. It is really tough but, for me, the 40-50 minutes are over before you know it and you're drenched in sweat. I really can't wait until the 60 days are up!

I think you would like Insanity and it would probably be less than having a pt in the long run. The great part is that you don't have to pay in one lump sum. I split it up into three payments.

I would REALLY like to start a programme like this, get in shape for summer, get my beach body so to speak (although this is Ireland so not a lot of opportunity's to go topless!! haha) one thing that puts me off doing something so intense, is that I'm a smoker, trying to quit, only had one today! :DD, so I guess maybe doing it the old fashion way would be best.

I would recommend it! It really keeps me focused. I've felt pretty good lately and have even felt like going out and running a few miles every day. Something I thought id never hear myself say!

I do it by myself, a little too nervous to fail at some of the workouts in front of others haha.

Yeah, only the DVDs are required, nothing else. When you order it they do try to get you to buy an assortment of shake mixes and stuff. I ignored those, nothing I couldn't get at the health food store.

I got insanity from a friend, along with P90X. P90X seems to be a good way to prepare for insanity..it focuses more heavily on resistance training. I have looked at both programs but only started INsanity so far.

I'm almost through week 5 of insanity delux package and have had super results personally. I notice I'm stronger all around, in better shape,..etc. It focuses on strength building, cardio, balance and flexibility in every workout so you can't go wrong with it, especially if your starting from a sedimentary lifestyle.

As far as weight loss, I don't have anything but a few vanity pounds to loose...I'd say i'm right at %10 bodyfat,..so by the time the program is over I may be leaned out even more. When I started the program I was 150 pounds and now I've accidentally dropped to about 143-144,..but I'm maintaining my muscle mass well.

Month one is fairly difficult,...month 2 has been a ram-rod straight to the gut. You HAVE to exercise where its cool or even very cold in order to not over heat and sweat too much. Give yourself plenty of room and drink water as often as Shaun T. tells you to. Sleep deprivation will kill you on this program,..gotta get your 6-9 hours or else your legs will just drop out from below you.

Here's one problem. You will do a lot of jump training in this program which is out of fashion, but it WORKS. Be careful not to jump on concrete..have carpet or an exercise mat and high quality cross-training shoes. Running shoes are not going to give you enough support. I am working out on concrete and my knees and feet are giving me problems now..I have to take some time off or wait until have a better workout environment.

Bottom line, you will feel like Bruce Lee in a few weeks but watch the jumping.

I hear ya, this second month has been brutal! I've been feeling stronger as well. Last month I was just undereating regular foods but this week I bought a lot of lean meats, salad, and fruits. It's made a big impact on my results already. Diet is a huge part of it!

I finally quit after week 6 (which is actually the 7th week of training) to take off one week so that my knees can heal. I'll start up again on Monday with some much needed sleep and recovery. Waist went from 31.5 to 29 inches already..i'm not worried about taking off a week.
I'm looking forward to P90X next.

One question, does intense training like insanity makes hair fall out more? I have heard that training like these produce shock to the body and hence accelerating hairloss. Any comment?
