Is there anyone who has had sides (preferably one-sided chest soreness, pulsating feeling) on Propecia, dropped it, and then tried it again later without having the sides come back? Would really like to go back on finasteride but pulsating, sore feeling on my left chest area is too bothersome and my doctor said I should drop finasteride, but it did help thicken up the hair.

Yes i had some of these sypmtoms like pulsating anxiousness ect.. during initial use but now has subsided
especially the one sided chest pain i expereinced just a few days ago (3 months into finasteride already) but i dont think its due to finasteride cause i know idid engage in strenous activity like sports during the time....that may have caused these sypmtoms

did u engage in strenous activity?

I recommend u continue the finasteride cause i think its pretty safe, no one has died from taking finasteride..maybe take it at night before sleep and the next day all he sides will have subsided

In general finasteride is tolerated quite well. I kind of suffered some side affects for a time. All I did was to stop taking it for a week and I have been fine ever since.

No I did not engage in any strenous activity. When I went to the doctor he said my chest did look somewhat inflamed/enlarged whatever. And ever since I went off Propecia for the 2nd time about 3 1/2 weeks ago, I've felt good. The weird thing is I took Propecia for about 14 months without ever having chest pains although I thought I was feeling fatigued and I had this scalp pain so I dropped it got back on it 3 months later and then experienced the chest soreness/discomfort for the first time. So I don't know if I'm just freaking out and it's some placebo effect but it was a noticeable soreness which caused discomfort throughout the day and prevented me from getting good sleep. The thing that leads me to believe that it is not a placebo effect is #1 the discomfort is real, and #2: people including HairLossTalk.com have taken Propecia for X number of months and years w/o any sides and then all of a sudden develop sides. So I don't know what to do especially since the doctor told me to get off of finasteride. Argh I guess I shouldn't have dropped finasteride in the first place. If I decide to take finasteride again for the 3rd time do you guys have any recommendations as to how long I should try finasteride and wait out the sides if they reoccur before deciding to finally drop it for good? I just don't have any faith in spironolactone or Revivogen since I've had previous experience with both of them.
