small yellow flat marks on scalp (only noticeable when wet and with photo), significant shedding 200+ a day and dandruff for past few months (none of which had before) and no hair seems to grow back

You should go to a dermatologist. That might be be seborrheic dermatitis

Is seborrheic dermatitis mob? Is it a symptom or does the hair usually grow back once you can get rid of or atleast get it under control? Anybody know?

I’d say it can aggravate male pattern baldness but if you don’t have genetic balding then it would return your hair loss in most cases if you stop the dermatitis

If the loss is isolated to specific patches, then there’s hope that it’s just seb derm. While that condition alone won’t cause balding in the traditional sense, it can lead to temporary hairloss, which, (if allowed to persist), can become permanent. You need to see a dermatologist as soon as you can.
