Parsia, how is that Polaris -NR working for you? Still need all those supplements?

Hi Koga , how are u doing? Honestly I have change my regimen and I didn't give enough time for Polaris-NR to see the result , Bh , it was really thick and I hardly can believe the " many other stuff " In there can be helpful , But this is just my gut feeling and I really can't say scientific opinion about that. Unfrotunately I have stopped my regimen and loose many of hair which I have gained , You may saw my pics before and after pic in dermarolling thread.
By the way , I see you are living IN Uk , SO if you are looking for premium minoxidil you can also think about promox ( although the dr.klein who made it has died a few months ago but you can still get that from other source) I always think polaris should beat promox because of many other good ingredient and also made it in a real company and not by persons or small pharmacy , So thats why I ordered that instead of promox.
here is my current regimen to give you an update:
1- Finpecia ( 0.5 mg everyday)
2- Rogaine foam 2x daily
3- Prox-N ( 1x daily on hairline and temple )
4- Nizoral 4 days in a week .
5-Pura d'or shampoo ( organic shampoo which has many other good stuff in it ) other days.
6- Biotin 5000mg veggie softgel
7- Multi vitamin supplement .

I also have to mention that I have got my result with lipogaine , But this time we will see if Rogaine foam can beat that result or not !?

gelatin is made of ground bones and stuff like that.
it is about 92% proteines and its really good thing to add to your diet (about two tea spoons a day),
as you probably know, almost everything that needs to grow in the body needs proteines --- hair, nails, skin, bones, muscles, joints.
adding this will most likely make sure that you dont lack of protein intake.

also there has been a study that taking about this amount of gelatin a day is good against hairloss,
i didnt wnet really deep on how it works, but my guess is through the protein addition the body is more capable to face these problems it has ...

anyway -
i take 1 tsp in the morning and 1 at night.
its best with some snack like a sandwich,
just put 1tsp in a glass, add a tiny bit of water, just to cover it, and add some honey or something for taste.
it tastes pretty bad alone, but with honey or something, its actually good because you feel only the thing that you add (honey) and not the gelatin taste.

well i saw the original thing in an israeli website,
i'll add that here later with google translate, so if it kinda sounds in a funny language thats because of the google translate.

but here is from wikipedia:
Although gelatin is 98-99% protein by dry weight, it has less nutritional value than many other complete protein sources. Gelatin is unusually high in the non-essential amino acidsglycine and proline (i.e., those produced by the human body), while lacking certain essential amino acids (i.e., those not produced by the human body). It contains no tryptophan and is deficient in isoleucine, threonine, and methionine. The approximate amino acid composition of gelatin is: glycine 21%, proline 12%, hydroxyproline 12%, glutamic acid 10%, alanine 9%, arginine 8%, aspartic acid 6%, lysine 4%, serine 4%, leucine 3%, valine 2%, phenylalanine 2%, threonine 2%, isoleucine1%, hydroxylysine 1%, methionine and histidine <1% and tyrosine <0.5%. These values vary, especially the minor constituents, depending on the source of the raw material and processing technique.[SUP][12][/SUP]Short chain gelatin peptides are effective in the treatment of stomach ulcers. The peptides enhance resistance of the mucous membrane to ethanol and the effects of stress, causing a twofold reduction in ulcer size and faster healing.[SUP][13][/SUP]
Gelatin is also a topical haemostatic. A piece of gelatin sponge of appropriate size is applied on bleeding wound, pressed for some time and tied in bandage. Haemostatic action is based on platelets damage at the contact of blood with gelatin, which activates the coagulation cascade. Gelatin also causes a tamponading effect - blood flow stoppage into a blood vessel by a constriction of the vessel by an outside force.[SUP][14][/SUP][SUP][page needed][/SUP]
It has been claimed that oral gelatin consumption has a beneficial therapeutic effect on hair loss in both men and women.[SUP][15][/SUP][SUP][16][/SUP][SUP][17][/SUP][SUP][18][/SUP][SUP][19][/SUP][SUP][20][/SUP][SUP][21][/SUP][SUP][22][/SUP]In addition there are scientific publications that present evidence that consumption of oral gelatin has beneficial effect for some fingernail changes and diseases

and here is the translated piece from what i have read :
What is the relationship between the consumption of gelatin about metabolism and effect on peripheral blood vessels?

Continuous blood supply to the scalp vigorously is vital hair. Eating foods that normally accompanies rising metabolic rate and body temperature.

This is known in science as Specific Dynamic Action SDA In 1926, Rappaport (Rapport) reported that eating gelatin S.D.A up the body than any other food. SDA was explained by the increase in blood flow due to an increase by a peripheral blood vessel dilation (10). Then in 1963 Molinos (Michael Mulinos MD) published an article on the effect of orally gelatin involved in vascularization of blood vessels in the fingers of the Journal of American biology experiment in which he confirmed the relationship. Hgltin (7 grams Gltin dissolves in water) lowers the resistance of the tool blood fingers and thereby dilate blood vessels (11). department of Anesthesiology at the University of Smlwis report on the use of gelatin in providing expansive intravenous infusion plasma for a 120-90 minutes (12).

Are there any side effects of gelatin?

Gelatin is not recommended for those who have an allergy or sensitivity to gelatin.

What is research (Double blind) double hidden?

Double blind is a method for rigorous editing scientific experiments, aimed at reducing the extent possible bias subjective awareness and unconscious that may arise from the scientist and the suspect (in the case of the investigated human) know the goals of the experiment and Mrcibio.venisoi double-blind, researchers and subjects alike do not know who the participants belong to a group experimental group and who is auditing. Only after the end of the experiment and analyzing the results turns out to belong to these groups. In this way reduced the impact of prejudice, prejudgment, confirmation bias, the placebo effect and physical cues. Random placement control and experimental groups is essential, and the key that associates each participant in the experiment one of the groups is maintained by a third party until the end of the experiment.

Is science studies have been conducted on the effects of gelatin orally on different types of hair loss in women?

In 1982-1983 Dr. Morgnti (Morganti et al) Dermatologist, Department Drmtlogy the University of Rome in Italy, the value of clinical research - Double blind (as well as the subjects and investigators do not know who belongs to the control group of patients who receive the drug itself, to reduce external influences on the results of the experiment) for oral use of a combination of 2 g gelatin with 0.8 g cysteine (cysteine) in the face of an experimental group received a placebo of starch (starch) and examined the effect of combined dietary supplement for hair health.

The experiment was conducted for a period of 3 months in 40 volunteers aged 40-20 years. The results indicated a direct correlation between the combined effect of dietary supplement of gelatin-cysteine about more hair growth and expansion diameter significantly hypotheses (18-20).

In 1986, another researcher named Padua dermatologist (Padova et al) Department of Dermatology University of Bologna, Italy, published an article about a study of the effect of the combination of gelatin-cysteine for Seborrheic Alopecia (hair loss combined with seborrhea).

The study involved 60 volunteers, including 40 women and 20 men who were diagnosed as suffering from hair loss combined with seborrhea. Combining gelatin-cysteine taken orally provision of 4 capsules per day. Each volunteer received a total of about 2 grams of gelatin per day and 0.8 g cysteine per day for 3 months. The results showed that in 30% of cases there was a significant decrease seborrhea (21).

In 1989, a researcher named Hartel ((Hertel et al), a dermatologist from Germany published article in dermatology in Germany about two clinical studies he has made on the impact of providing oral combination of gelatin, vitamin A and cysteine for a long time hair loss diluted (Diffuse type alopecia ).

The first study was conducted in the form of a pilot (Pilot) with 36 volunteers. This was followed by a new study with 47 volunteers using double blind. Quantities as were 7 g gelatin with 18 thousand units (18,000 IE) of vitamin A and 0.7 g cysteine per day.

Results of the first study (pilot) were:

A decrease of 8.3%, the number of hairs in a telogen (Telogen) compared with an increase of 11% in the number of hairs in a Anagn (Anagen) and an increase of 6.9% condensate hair (Hair density). Hartal indicates that it is a significant improvement in the health of the hair was due to the effect of combination therapy.

The second study was conducted in the form of Double blind, the results were measured by testing Trichogrm (Trichogram) patients.

The results were: a decline of 13.5%, the number of telogen hairs condition for the group that received the combination treatment group compared with the test. There are no changes in the placebo group in a study by the number of telogen hairs.

An increase of 8% in the number of hairs in a Anagn group receiving the treatment compared with a number of hairs in a Hanagn in the placebo group.

Hartal indicates that no adverse effects during combination therapy of gelatin-cysteine-vitamin A orally. Hartal summarizing the conclusions of the studies it can be assumed that the value of a positive impact on the treatment of combined oral gelatin-cysteine and high-dose vitamin A Hair Loss diluted type Diffuse alopecia type)

In 1998, Dr. Morgnti published a new study on the subject of the combination of gelatin-cysteine and palmetto also known as saw palmetto on the effect of free radicals (Reactive Oxygen Species) and shaped hair growth shampoo. The study was conducted using Randomized Double Blind for 50 weeks with 48 volunteers detectors of 38-21.

Of the 48 volunteers, 24 were women and 24 were men who had been diagnosed with hereditary hair loss (Alopecia Androgentic) levels 3 and 4 according to Hamilton. Of the 48, there were 12 volunteers who took addition shampoo also the same nutritional combination oral combination can be in the form of four capsules per day.

Results showed there was an increase of 30% to 20% condensate hair with hair rise 17% - 27% (p <0.005) in the group taking the treatment orally and used the shampoo compared to the group that used only shampoo. Group taking the combination therapy orally and in the form of shampoo was a 50% increase in hair growth and decrease disciplinary free radicals (Reactive Oxygen Species) tested by blood tests (23).

Type of treatment gelatin treat hair loss:

You can use a pure form of gelatin gelatin powder mix with water or orange juice and a drink or oral use of rigid folds of pure gelatin.

Suggested doses for the treatment of hair loss:

In 2010, Dr. Zeev Pam, dermatologist, presented at the first conference on Hair Research Society of Dermatologists Technion in Haifa, Israel, to his clinical practice since 1992, the use of gelatin orally at low doses;

Seasonal loss in women (Telogen Effluvium): Consider giving gelatin orally for 6-3 months at a dose of 1.5 grams to 3.5 grams of gelatin per day.

Alopecia hair loss (Androgenetic Alopecia) in men: recommended for gelatin orally for 12 months at least, at a dose of 1.5 g to 3.5 g gelatin Lium.ldberio Dr. Zeev Pam about 60% of patients treated men and women who are always treatment over time, reported increased hair growth and hair thickening (24).

Summary:

On the treatment of oral gelatin extensive medical literature has many years of tested and studied by dermatologists in several countries around the world. Treatment gelatin gives support healthy look of the hair, nails and skin. Gelatin does not contain gluten or cholesterol, and is low-calorie, gelatin treatment does not require a prescription and is considered safe to use. Duration of treatment gelatin orally or seasonal hair loss after birth is an average of 6-3 months at a dose of at least 1.5 grams of gelatin orally as a powder or caplet hard. Women with hereditary hair loss (androgenic) treatment of gelatin orally at a dose of 1.5 grams to 3.5 grams per day for at least a year can be. The treatment is designed to gelatin swallowing both men and women but men Clanny results appear after a longer time than in women Because the thickness of the hair in women thinner and therefore clinical effect occurs earlier. Therapeutic benefit gelatin swallowing hereditary hair loss in men and women is that the results Clanny appear earlier and therefore responsiveness of higher Hmotflim treatment. You can combine treatment with oral gelatin with multivitamins and other treatments, including medications in women and men suffering from most types of hair loss. Patients who are taking Roaccutane and suffer from hair loss treatment can be incorporated into gelatin to prevent this phenomenon. Clinical observation of Dr. Zeev Pam, 6 male and female patients suffering from Alopecia Areata sudden clearing)) can combine gelatin treatment of swallowing with conventional treatments impression is that hair grows faster. The explanation for this could be that in order to renew the growth cycle in the Hhkrhh available energy needed hairy follicles in these areas.

well i take about 1-2 tsp a day, which is about 10-25 grams,
which is more than whats the study suggests, but, it is for a protein supplement as well (and it costs only 1/2 the price per kilo of thoes protein powders, and protein powders contain at most only 72% proteins.)
