Any of you taking v****/cialis to offset some sexual side effects.

I don't know but my libido isn't the same as before, maybe it's just age (35), stress, or dutasteride (but only take it once a week).

But do any of you take dutasteride/finasteride and also cialis/v**** to offset any sexual side effects?

I have wanted to but since I am only 21 I'm afraid to ask my doctor that he won't prescribe it since I am so young.

I gotta find a way to get v**** without a prescription.

v**** won't do anything for your libido. It will give you an erection, but you will have no sensation.

There is such thing as erection but no sexual desire. I was getting these when I went through a side effect scare.

Umm. Maybe.

But I think helping with an erection should improve libido once the engine gets going :whistle:

Damn Monty, I think you probably have the worst case scenario with side effects. But look at the bright side, you're still able to get a boner with Cialis.

Are you still taking dutasteride? From my limited understanding, the side effects will disappear eventually if you stop taking it.

Also, regarding your libido, maybe there are other factors also. Stress is a big one, and I know most don't think about it.

I was taking dutasteride thrice a week, never had erection or libido issues. Literally 2 months ago I was getting boners all day every 20 minutes..lol. But for the last 2 months it's all gone, and I think it has to do with stress. I'm very stressed these days and I think that might be the cause.

Isn't there anything that can be done to get your libido back to normal?

You are crazy Monty but i don't judge because i know what hair loss can do to you mentally, especially as you claim to have some sort of bone deformity.

Personally i just want my normal penis, libido, sleep and mental state back. It's been 17 months.

Also, life sucks - i can bet that your recent libido and erection changes have nothing to do with stress. It is the dutasteride.

I took 2 years off and didn't improve. Then I took clomid for 2 months and it restored my testosterone. I felt better so thought f*ck it, if I can fix it I can break it and fix it again. Obviously I seriously dont wanna lose my hair to mess around like this. Part of the reason I don't moan about side effects these days as I really do bring all this on myself. Not that I don't allude to finasteride side effects though. I don't like people dismissing them as figments of one's imagination for a host of reasons.

I agree, the side effects should be taken seriously. But I've remember vividly when reading about Propecia that if side effects occur, stop taking the medicine and it'll disappear. Once the dosage is stopped, it's eventually not in your bloodstream. I'm just confused why after 2 years your side effects remained.

Also, why do you have Apple Cider Vinegar in your regimen?

I used to take that before but for skin.

The thing is that I didn't have any issues for the first year of taking dutasteride , hence I'm assuming it's stress.

I've read alot about stress, and it's a very unpopular culprit. Last 2 months I've been lethargic, lost appetite, lost libido, etc., all symptoms of stress.

But you could be right also.

To be fair, if you have other stress symptoms like loss of appetite you may be right. When i was depressed/ anxious before my finasteride issues i would lose my appetitie, get dry mouth and sleep all day. Never did it affect my sexual health though.
