I tried letrozole 2.5mg daily for two months trying to get rid of the gyno 200mg spironolactone gave me, my hair has been wrecked because of it, im waaaay below baseline, my crown is so bad not even toppik is really helping. Does anyone have any experience on recovering from the shed it gives you? im currently taking 0.5mg duta, 100mg spironolactone and 5mg oral minoxidil. I don't regret trying letrozole as it helped a bit but im panicking a little thinking my hair will never recover.

Cheers

Letro won’t get rid of it, it just leaned u out a bit that’s all. You will return back to normal and you’ll be back at regrowth.

Ok thanks, so you have taken it before? How long do you think it will take to return to baseline from your experience?

well in theory letro can stay in ur body for up to 6 months lol but I’d say a month and u will be back to normal. Gyno from propecia is permanent because it’s caused by progestin receptors, it’s like ur tits grow not like gland. That’s why u get super fat around the areola too. It’s something u have to live with if u choose to take those meds.

Thanks, yeah i don't mind some gyno if it means saving my hair, losing weight has helped a lot in reducing the appearance of my gyno too, im not all that bothered by it in its current state but the shedding and damage it did to my hair was insane. I just want to know if anyone has any experience in recovering from a letrozole shed.

Ive taken it for a month. Same dose a pill a day. It should stop within a month, did for me. You gotta wait for the rebound and then body adjusts. Whatever you shed you should be able to get back because of the medication. It’s not as if “ok hair fell, it isn’t growing back ever”. I hope this gives u some relief xd

Ok thanks, i have already noticed a reduction in shedding and that's been nearly two weeks off letrozole, before when i was taking letrozole tons of hair would come out in pull tests, right now it's hardly any, i just hope my crown will recover in the coming months.
