Any Doctors/dermatologists Here? Is This Miniaturization? Pics Included Using High-res Microscope

Hi,

I'm a 21 year old male.

I've attached some pictures of the top of my head using the microscoping camera. Does this show any signs of miniaturisation?

I've used red arrows to show where I think the hair may be thinner then the others. Please note that I don't think I have found all the thin hairs, I may have missed some.

These have been taken at various locations at the top of my head (half way from front of hairline to the crown).

Thanks! I'm going to reupload the pictures with arrows to the hairs that I'm worried about as some are quite thin compared to the others.

Again I assure you, offending anyone was the last thing I had planned - I am genuinely worried about my hair.

I know, I was just kifding with you. I'm no expert, but it looks fine to me. What made you decide to inspect it so closely? Is your hair not looking as full?

Yes exactly. When my hair is wet it looks bad, and at certain angles, my hair looks thin, like under direct light or sunlight. I read that the best way to deduce whether I'm balding or not is to look for miniturisation, so I used a high res camera - I'm hopeful a doctor or learned person regarding miniturisation can answer.

I do see a couple hairs that are suspect. If you're balding it's very early. I wouldn't be comfortable talking you to get on propecia based on these pictures, and I don't think any doctor would. You should go someone in person for a trichogram by a professional.

Thanks. Unfortunately I simply cannot afford to see a doctor right now, I should be able to in a couple of months once I've saved up.

I was hoping a doctor could perhaps see my photos here and give me a diagnosis. Or failing that, someone that has studied miniturisation before could perhaps give their view? Would appreciate it.

After looking on a bigger screen I think you should at least start using ketoconazole shampoo.

Because I see some hairs I doesn't see before. It looks like they're barely hanging on, and maybe some have already gone. Most of your hair is really healthy though, so you're in good shape. When you get up the money you should get evaluated and have your hormone levels checked, and you can talk about getting on propecia. For now I'd go ahead and at least get started with ketoconazole, and that should slow things down.
