Antihistamines ?

has anyone tried taking a daily antihistamine? could this possibly have a positive effect on hair loss by treating the immune response component? or am i misunderstanding how antihistamines work.

Anti-histamines are more against allergens, i.e the humoral immune response. The male pattern baldness is a cell mediated immune response, so it won't help.. i think.. been a while since I did immunology!

If they do have any effect, then it will not be cosmetic enough to make it worth while and could be dangerous taking antihistimines on a daily basis. This of course, is only my opinion.
