Antiandrogens & Androgen Blockers and minoxidil hair

I am trying to recover from a nw7, and has managed to grow some hair in the past 18 months using a really heavy regime, including finasteride, spironolactone cream etc. Since things like finasteride an spironolactone are antiandrogens and dont really grow hair ?I wonder if they are necessary in my regime. Its hard for me to know what is really growing hair but my best guess is the minoxidil.

So what I am trying to ask is if antiandrogens are necessary for minoxidil dependent hair ?

The problem is you don't know what hairs are regrowing because of minoxidil and which hairs are regrowing because finasteride and spironolactone are stopping androgen damage to your follicles.

That's why consistent use of a growth product like minoxidil and an anti androgen produce the best results.

An antiandrogen cannot save minoxidil-dependent hair. That's the reason it's labeled "minoxidil-dependent" because it needs minoxidil to survive. Antiandrogens save your REAL hair.

I think that minoxidil helps recover follices from dormant state and once a follice is recovered it can be maintained with an antiandrogen since it will no longer be attacked by DHT
