I am on topical spironolactone and estrodial spray.
I am also on minoxidil.
I would say i was on topical spironolactone for about a month before adding the minoxidil.
I noticed a few weeks into topical spironolactone i had less short hairs shedding but I cant say conclusively this was helping.
Once i started minoxidil within weeks my short hairs stopped shedding and started to grow. I also see a lot of new hair sprouting and i see a lot of single hairs becoming 'two' follicles.
I dont want to be complacent about the DHT aspect..I am responding well to Minoxidil for sure...but I am finding it hard to believe the topical anti-DHT is helping mostly because i read so much here that topicals are weak that the oral meds for anti androgens work better.
So my question is how do i know if my topical spironolactone is working well enough to not switch to oral spironolactone?
